Security and authentication
To ensure your privacy authentication is necessary.
Authentication of users is an important core element of our mobile video solution, since we want to be able to guarantee that no unauthorized person can access the data streams of your webcam. So in our application your privacy is given the maximum protection and security.
Each of your cameras has its own name on the Mobile Video Platform and is therefore accessible only by you through this login identification. This prevents unauthorized access.
Live videos from the cameras are provided to the terminal by the Mobile Video Platform.
Authentication takes place by entering a user ID and password. Unregistered and so unauthenticated users do not receive permission for sending data to the server or for watching videos.
How does the Mobile Video Platform work?
Authentication
Each camera has its own name on the Mobile Video Platform and is therefore accessible only by you with your login identification. This prevents unauthorized access.
Live videos from the cameras are provided to the terminal by the Mobile Video Platform.
Videochat
To chat with the help of the camera, avinotec provides a small Java application on the mobile phone, which allows text messages to be written.
Snapshot
You can activate a snapshot of the camera at any time on the menu page “snapshot”. On the MVP a small picture is shown as a preview. By clicking the preview picture you can capture the high resolution snapshot picture in the browser.
You can also add a link to the preview picture, and to the high resolution snapshot picture, on your personal website. You only need to enter the link. (For example “http://mvp.avinotec.de/pepimage/1tn.jpg” for the preview picture, or “http://mvp.avinotec.de/pepimage/1.jpg” for the high resolution picture).
Internet
If you do not see a video, you can download here the latest version of the QuickTime Player (it should be free).
The Realplayer can also display the stream on the PC. Afterwards it goes to the download platform. The Realplayer is also free.

avinotec has developed its own MPEG-4 and AVC codec (similar to a mail service), which can provide pictures to any video-capable terminal without recognising the terminal.
